01 What does Transitour read from Samsara?
Vehicle locations and GPS traces, engine state, odometer readings and tachograph driver activity. It does not import US hours-of-service logs, geofences, fault codes, fuel reports, dashcam footage or inspection reports.
02 Does Transitour write anything back to Samsara?
No. The connection is read-only.
03 Do we still need the driver app?
Yes — the app is how drivers receive jobs, start and end trips and log extras. With Samsara connected, the vehicle's own GPS is used for the route instead of the phone's.
04 We use a different telematics provider.
